Been so long since I have been here, sorry about that everyone. I have started socks since i was here last. Made Burial gowns, hats and booties and dishrags! I need to come back here more often. I love how your forum is looking. It has changed since I seen it last. Much more cool!
This is a wonderful place to go too!!!
I feel blessed being here and thank you!

Anyway if anyone ever wants to make a simple hat for a baby and send some to our charity we desperately need your help!

CO 36 STS (40,44,46,50 etc "even St's")
Single Rip (K1, P1 across) doing all rows in single rib for 1 inch
then stockinette st for 2 1/2" inches ( 3',3 1/2 inches exec, "increasing amount of inches the more stitches you casted on)
Then on knit side *knit 2 tog, k2, k2tog* across
then purl across repeat the k2 tog row (the decrease row)
repeating these 2 rows, when you get about 10 St's remaining on needle, cut yarn long leaving a tail.
Put it on a yarn needle and weave through remaining 10 stitches, pull off of needle, pull up tight and sew up. You can make a pom pom or not. This is all up to you!

You can also do double rib, or single rib throughout hat instead of stockinette stitching.  You can make it a seed St's hat. However you do it is up to you!!

I also have our newsletter on line at our website, there are a few free patterns in every issue if anyone is interested in subscribing we have a small fill it in form on our front page. We will let you know when our next newsletter issue is available!

Anyway bless you all Mary

Thanks for posting your charity info! Having worked as a funeral director with many families who have lost their little ones... that's a charity dear to my heart! What a wonderful thing you are doing!! Blessings to you!

You can never change the past. But by the gace of God, you can win the future. So, remember those things which will help you forward, but forget about the things which will only hold you back.
