Has anyone tried to knit this in the round yet?  Damnit, I'm 75% done with my kyoto and finished a few other things as well...but this blasted hat still has my mind going wonky. Huh Tongue

My pattern is in the round.

Easy, nearly instant gratification hats are the best.

I would think that you could make it a little bigger around (add a few when casting on) and a few more rows before starting the decreases.

Hey, much thanks to woolgathered for her cool pattern! Smiley
I used it to make my new hat - though I have to say, the slightly dodgy results were my fault and not the patterns at all!

I put some 2x1 ribbing round the bottom edge, not that you can really tell with the chunky yarn, and I knitted the whole thing on my Denise circulars, kinda making it up as I went along when I got to the decreases and moving the stitches around so I could do a kind of Magic Loop type thing.

I do like it, I love the colours, but unfortunately my stubborness with the colours meant that I ended up with two different weights of yarn so it goes a bit bumpy in the red (chunkier) stripes :s Plus it turned out a bit big, so it makes my head look huge and the bumps really show round the back, but on the good side it also goes right down over my ears and down to my neck, which is good cos its *freezing* here at the moment! Even so, anyone got any ideas how I could maybe shrink it a bit as I can't be bothered ripping it out and starting again, even though it was really easy and quick! Again, colour stubbornness dictated that the red is half wool, half acrylic (sirdar bigga) and the green is r2 fuzzy felt (which is gorgeous) 68% Nylon 16% Merino Wool 20% Acrylic 6% Alpaca, so I'm not entirely sure what would happen if I tried to block/felt/wash/boil it.

Any tips appreciated!

I would really love to make this hat, but when I click on the woolgathered link it is really weird. I don't know what is going on, but it doesn't look like an actual website. Does anybody know where I could find the pattern? Thanks.

liquorice: That site has been taken down. I might have a printout of the pattern at home, if no one else gets in touch.

Oh that would be great. Maybe someone has it saved on their computer and would like to share it with me? That would be easier, and very much appreciated by me! Otherwise I'll let you know crazycatladymel. Thanks! (great name by the way!)
