On Oct. 13 my husband passed away.  I can't do social things right now.

So when I lived in Bellingham, I got my first taste of the stitch n' bitch phenomena.  It was so awesome to hang out with other crafty gals!  When I moved down to Mill Creek, I started my own craft night with old highschool friends, and had my apartment at capacity every Wednesday night with people drawing, hot gluing, beading, and being otherwise crafty.

I'm not working right now and I'm really feeling the need to meet other crafty friends!  Would anyone be interested in getting together for a regular craft night sort of meeting?  I have a house to offer, as well as tons and tons and tons of craft supplies and my years of random craft knowledge.  I mostly sew and draw, but I've made masks and costumes, done lots of beadwork, sculpted, and on and on and on.  Lately I've been making soap with caffeine.  My husband loves it.

And if a regular weekly/monthly meeting seems daunting, maybe we could organize a one-shot night.  I would be happy to host a "make your own dragon mask" night or series of nights, if people are interested!

Believe it or not it only costs about $20 in supplies to make something like this:

*shakefist*  Curse you, distance!  If I end up hosting a dragon workshop, I'll try to be good about taking lots of pictures along the way and making it into a tutorial for all of you long distance crafters.

GHA!!!! I'm in BOthell!!!
So, Wednesday nights I work, at Starbucks in Woodinville (the one across the street from MOlbaks) and there is a knitting group that comes in every wednesday around 6 and they stay and close the place down... I take my meeger little 30 minute lunch break with them usually, but I would love to get a night together with crafty friends, not just knitting (which I am not the best at and only have the 30 mins...) we've had our house on teh market trying to buy a bit more craft space nroom... and all my supplies are in storage at the moment...
anyway, I would love to get a craft night going...
put me on teh roster...!

*salutes*  It's cool to see fellow crafters on a worldwide board that live right in my own neighborhood!

How's monday night look for you?  Would you be more interested in a weekly craft thing or a monthly one?

And did you get the "pigeon and the statue" bit from that car wash in Woodinville next to the McLendon Hardware? Wink

Oi! you're on to me! Yep, that's where I got the statue saying! I drive by there 5 times a week, and there's always some great wisdom on that sign! They've done the statue one before (or I've seen it before somewhere else...). It's one of my favs!

Monday nights might be good. And maybe once a month at first... I am working most monday nights, but I can request one a month off. I am also going on vacation for about 12 days so we could start toward the end of Aug?

I was so stoked to see a Bothell post I almost fell off my seat! Smiley
Hopefully we'll get this together!

Sweet, I'll keep the end of the month a little more open in my schedule.  Maybe by then we'll have a few more people interested, and maybe I can get some of my crafty friends to come over as well.

We'll just play this by ear!

I'm in Kirkland, I'd love to have some folks to craft with! I just moved here in June from NY so I am a bit lost and haven't made any new friends yet Cheesy Sign me up! I have to fly back to NY for a wedding from august 25-sept 3 but if you meet up another time next month I can definitely come.
