Awesome as always...(drooling big time!) Where do you get those awesome pics from? I've been searching and searching for some good ones and I can't come up with anything!

Hey Jenni, try searching on ebay and on etsy for "vintage ephemera" and you should find lots of old scraps! I'll PM you a link tomorrow.

willajane, I cut the wood pieces myself! With my grandfather's saw.

You can find some similar at Hobby Lobby, etc. I used some old ones I had for a template and made the ones I now use. I am just mastering circles right now. Smiley

great idea Wink (I loved "boys lies" ^_^ ).   But I would take smaller "balls" and made with 3 or 4 rows (just this is my opinion ^_^)

Good suggestion!

The images are first attached with mod podge, and then I glaze over them to make them as waterproof as possible. I've been trying all kinds of glazes trying to find the perfect one for me.

Lacquer is good, too. But it smellls sooo bad. It seems to dry faster so you have less risk of dust getting embedded in there. You can get it at Home Depot. They also have some spray lacquer that I just started experimenting with. I don't like it as much yet. Also, use a foam brush to reduce brush marks. Smiley With the craft store glaze, I do three coats. You could do more, but it starts to look a little cloudy if you do four or more.

You'll still want to be a little careful of the words as they are going to be slightly raised (I mean, if you do words), and if someone was determined to they could scratch them out with a knife/nail. So, in my opinion, it is best to avoid layering with this type of jewelry. It's cool enough on its own anyway.
