I just finished my 2nd big girl shrug "post-http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=183865.0".  I did this one the same as the first except that I used size 10 needles (I used 11's on the first shrug).  I made this needle adjustment because I wanted this shrug to be more compact and less drapey than the first one.

Thanks for looking!   Grin

That's beautiful, I love both your shrugs, and the summery colours. What yarn did you use?

Look great!  I need to get around to making another less bulky version one of those that is longer like yours.

That looks so good- I am totally coveting that clasp thingy you have- it is so modern and unique, taking the shrug to the next level.

I also like the colors used for both your shrugs.  Great fit as well and a very pretty clasp.  Great Job!

So cute! I've actually been inspired since I saw your first one... I dyed me up some yarn to knit one for myself, probably with similar mods since we look to be around the same size. Smiley

Thank you!  I got both yarns from  Jo Ann Craftstores.  The pink yarn is Jo Ann's Angel-Hair yarn (20% wool, 80% acrylic): this yarn is very affordable ($5.99/120 yard skein) and amazingly soft!  You can get it online at the Jo Ann site, but the yarn only comes in a few colors.  The green yarn is a discontinued Jo Ann product (made in Italy, about 60% cotton and 40% acrylic).

I love it!  Did you increase the pattern at all for the larger size, or only made it longer?

Him: I think we've been on the same page for a while now.
Me: What if we're on the same page, but in different books?

I didn't really increase the pattern width-wise, but I did knit it longer than a lot of other ladies did (due to the fact that I am more a bigger girl).  The cool thing about this raglan shrug is that you keep increasing until you get to the width of your upper arm, and then the rest of the shrug just fits you.  Easy-peasy.  The link to the pattern is here: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=62281.0.  My mods to the pattern are found at the link up-thread.
