I just made this post on the Art discussion board to get some feedback from the arty people, but I thought I should post here too to get some feedback and advice from the business people! (Obviously you're all arty people too, but shh, stop ruining my intro  Wink)
I hope this is okay? Obviously delete if it's not etc but I feel stupid saying that because you don't need my blessing to do so  Tongue

Mostly the same questions: I've done a search and I know there's a topic on prints a little down the board but that's dealing with photography. I'm dealing with art prints and wondering
a) what kind of paper you print on or would be interested in buying
b) how much you charge/would pay for prints
(I'm in Ireland so shipping would probably come into it too - as well as possibly needing to get prints made from a US website and have them shipped here first for an extra $14...  Roll Eyes)
Edit: c) Would you be interested in buying originals? How much would you pay? (obviously it depends on size, but some sort of idea)

Any additional information would be great, you can answer any of the other questions too but I thought I would try and keep the topics board-specific.

Also, if you wanted to tell me what you thought of my art from a business perspective, that would be cool: I have stuff posted here and here although that's just an indication of style, rather than prints. I'd probably want to make things in the style of the HP drawings/ink drawings (probably coloured with watercolours, poooossssibly digitally but I don't think I'm good enough yet, or maybe even just line drawings). While I do want honesty, please do be gentle  Smiley (yes, I know I'm a corporate wimp  Tongue)
Edit: This is a better example of the stuff I'd like to sell.

Thanks for any input! This is my current flight of fancy so I'm just looking into it and doing all the research to see if it's possible.

Personally, I love your Luna picture. And if I saw it on Etsy... someone would have to try very hard to stop me from buying it.

Obviously, pricing depends on the size of the prints and, like you said, the quailty of the paper. I'd not buy something on gloss photopaper, but matt is good. I'd buy something on cardstock too. I like 'finished pieces' but also love sketches (it's nice to see where things 'came from'). Personally - if I could buy all the pictures in the shop I listed below, I would  Cheesy

I am going to be buying prints from these shops very soon (some for me, some for a friend and some for my daughters room). I think they are perfectly priced. But pricing is hard - too expensive and you won't sell any, too cheap and, well, I personally don't buy things if they are 'too cheap'.

I doubt you will be allowed to sell Harry Potter related drawings, since those things are copyrighted...

I know, I wouldn't - but that's my general style anyway, I usually draw girls somewhat like that, so it's just some indication of how I'd draw rather than what I'd sell. But, I wouldn't use the HP characters or any others that aren't mine to make money, they'd all be my own originals.
