I found a bag of pink and purple sparkly tulle at the thrift store for less than $2, so I snatched it up.  Today, I made this poof for my daughter (she's such a girly girl).

I cut the tulle in 6 inch strips, and then tied it onto elastic.  The only real sewing involved was sewing the ends of the elastic together.  It could use more tulle to make it full, but I'll just keep my eyes open at thrift stores.

I love making those tutus. I've made one for every niece when they get to the make believe age.  My Monkey Mae is almost due for one -oooh, can't wait!  I usually buy the tulle that is already cut to 6 inches wide and on a spool to make it eaiser on me.

Yes, the pre-cut tulle would have made my life a bit easier, but I am a cheap-skate.   Wink

Oooh, I have a tonne of left-over tulle from my wedding veil. I should make this for my wee one who is just learning to stand. Thanks for the inspiration!
