Long time lurker, 1st time poster... got so inspired by all the awesome custom Chucks on here that I finally broke out the Mod Podge and went to town on my old Chucks...

Started out by painting both the canvas and the soles black, then I cut the pictures out of Wizard magazine and also out of an issue of JLA, glued them on w/the Mod Podge, and then cut little strips and layered them near the toe of the shoes...

... sealed 'em over with clear nail polish... maybe that wasn't the best thing to use  Shocked but time will tell!

Sorry for the blurriness of this one... Supergirl seems to screaming "Get Down!"

Haven't worn them yet, but I will soon.  Enjoy!

Oooh, those are really cool! But a question- are they still canvas-y? I mean, are they all hard and weird now or do they still bend?

Unfortunately they have lost some of their flexiiblity due to the paint, but this was more experimental... next time I'll go easy on the paint... Smiley
