Wow, thanks for all the lovely comments, everyone!

Sansa, no it wasn't that one -- but only because I've never seen that one before.  Is it your work?  It's beautiful! Smiley  (The one I was thinking of was reddish in the centre, blending through the rainbow to violet round the edge.)

sweettea -- each little blue square is 3 inches, so the nine-patch squares are 9 inches.

I must confess, after receiving so many compliments on my straight seams, that behind the scenes this quilt is a disaster.  I didn't have a rotary cutter when I started, so most of the blue squares were cut with scissors -- initially using a template, but then I got irritated with trying to cut round cardboard/draw on fabric and ended up guessing for a lot of them.  The end result is that some of the seam allowances are under an eighth-of-an-inch, and some of them are half-an-inch, and the only reason all the corners match up is that I stuck pins in them when I was sewing it all together, and had no qualms about stretching the fabric where necessary.  Ahem.  Glad to see that none of this is obvious to outside observers... Cheesy
