I'm really new to making bath and beauty products, did a lot of research  now am pricing out and collecting the ingredients and supplies.  But I'm really stuck!  Where in Winnipeg can one find Lye and palm oil?
Any help would be appreciated...Thank s

my sister and i have taken on soap making and we searched high and low to find lye, but we found some at home hardware (in Brandon, but Winnipeg would likely carry as well).  Since you are in Winnipeg, check out Dierbe, it's on Main street.

we haven't made it in there yet to check it out, but they have a decent selection of different types of oils.  it's hard to source out oils i have found, so i try to find recipes with oils i can get my hands on.  this is the best soap calculator i have found to date, i hope it helps you (it lists the SAP values, so if you don't have one particular type of oil the recipe calls for you can see what other oils have similar SAP values)

any questions, just let me know
