I don't really like that term, but I'm not sure what else these are called.  Anyway, here it is, made with seed beads and glass seed pearls on elastic beading cord:

Wow... that is really beautiful. I love how the simplicity of the wrist part puts more focus on the middle. I would love to own something like that.

I'm not sure but I think they are also called "hand flowers".  But that might just be for ones made of chain maile...not sure.

BTW: It's very pretty, I love pearls with silver.

So pretty!! I've made these before too and I don't like the name "slave bracelet" either... I like to call them "gauntlets", even though that's not technically the correct term.

Hi girls- I've gone to the source of all knowledge, the internet and wikipedia Wink

Slave bracelet may refer to:

A copper bracelet used as a medium of exchange in the West African slave trade, see Manillas.
Any bracelet made of chain links.
A wrist bracelet joined to a ring by a chain.
A bracelet worn by a slave (this meaning comes from BDSM fiction, e.g. John Norman's Gor series of novels; in this context it may be a colloquial term for handcuffs).

Ok so not trying to have a non craft discussion but it seems from browsing that that's just what their called, but I'm sure you could call it something else, maybe even some word no one knows and start a new trend Wink
