I got inspired by all the rompers, and I had to try it.  A friend of mine gave me a bunch of hand-me-downs that included some shirts that were large enough- yea, free clothes!
My son is still in diapers, so I needed snaps on the bottom for easy access.  Still, the total cost of the outfit was only 50 cents for the snaps.

He's playing with one of my measuring tapes.  It only kept him still for a little while.

So, I turned on Clifford.

The snap tape made it kind of bunchy, so I need to do more work on the crotch part, but it turned out pretty well for my first!  I actually used my zipper foot! (It gives me chills just looking at it Sad )I have enough tape and shirts for two more rompers, maybe my next post will be better.

If any one has suggestions for the next two, I will be thrilled!

VERY cool. I love them. My Mom just gave me a bunch of snap tape, I have no clue what to do with it.

Thanks.  I was thinking of snapping some pillowcases shut, too.  I get really tired of putting pillows back in their cases.

what's the bottom part look like? I'm working on perfecting the shape as well as keeping it simple.

The bottom is mostly straight between the legs and the leg hole kinda goes up on the sides.  I need to make more of a curve in between his legs, but I used snap tape and that doesn't like to curve.

This is kind of what the bottom looks like.  But it definately needs to be changed.

Instead of making it so flat, if you were to do more of a shorts look

And put the snap tape on the inside of the leg, too?

or maybe an upside down V... Well, I got a romper I've got to deconstruct, if I ever get to it, and fix the bunching, I'll post.

Yeah, I was thinking of the v thing, but it's made it's way further down my mending pile.  Let me know if you get to yours before I get to mine.  Thanks!
