I made this up, writing the pattern as I went along. I hope it makes sense since I just learned to crochet.

1. Ch7
2. Dtr across, ch1, turn
3. Sc across, ch2, turn
4. Dc 2x in first 2 sts, dc next st, ss next 2 sts, dc next st, dc 2x in last st, ch2, turn
5. Dc 2x in next 2 sts, dc in next st, dc in 4th st from left, dc next st, 2 dc in next 2 sts, sh2, turn
6. Dc 2x in first st, dc next st, ss next 2 sts, dc next 3 sts, ss next 2 sts, dc next st, dc 2x in last st, ch2, turn
7. dc 3 sts, ch 3, (here's the tricky part. See where the nose is? There should be 1 stitch in the middle right above the nose hole.) dc into the stitch above the nose, ch3, dc 3 sts, ch2, turn
8. decrease every st, ch1, turn
9. sc across

I hope that made sense.  Smiley

I started it with a thinner yarn and it was too skimpy for a scarf. I think I will try your suggestion and go even thinner!
