I'm Gem and I'm new to this site (it looks great tho! So many things on it!) and didnt really know where to post an into so I put in a in a few of the forums I am interested in - I hope thats ok.

I'm 22, married and live in Chesterfield, UK. I have fibromyalgia and cant do a regular job but cant get an disability allowance or anything - partly because of this I am setting up my own business selling my hand-made cards and jewellery with the help of the Princess Trust and am joiing a few crafty websites for chat, friends, advice and inspiration.

This is my website so far - its just an instant site and isnt finished yet. www.gemcraftonline.co.uk.
I'd love any comments about my site or my cards and jewelley

Hi there and welcome to Craftster!  I can't access your site, but will keep checking back!  Good luck to you!

You may also want to check out Etsy for selling your wares!  A lot of us sell on there and have good success.  The website maintenance is done for you so all you have to worry about is making things, posting them, and sending them out when they sell.  Smiley

Good luck!

Hey!  Check out my friend's shop, too!  http://kanyofuse.etsy.com (fused glass goodness)

Hi Gem! I'm Gia and I am a newbie as well.

I am 28, married, live in New Orleans, LA, and also have fibromyalgia!! I can't believe my first time on here I found a fellow "fibromite". I started making my own jewelry for fun for my wedding, but I find it is very soothing especially when I have flare-ups. I basically make it for myself and friends, but I really want to try and get into selling it. I just have no idea where to start.

If you have any advice, I'm all ears! My email is vlahatte@gmail.com

Hi, Im not feeling up to it right now but I will send you an email in the next few days. Its great to 'hear' from another "fibromite" crafter! Who is also quite young and married. I think we're quite an odd species!!

As for selling stuff I will try and have a think. I got a lot of help from the PRinces Trust (I got approved yesterday for grants and loans) but I dont know if they have anything like that in US.

Wil get back to you.
