What lucky girls!  And what a lucky Auntie T-Rex to receive their art, and keep it all in a handy book!  My friend posts her little girl's art on her MySpace, and it's so great to be reminded what imaginations kids have.

Very cool idea! I hope you all have fun with it! And those girls are just going to love getting something in the mail!

Thanks everyone for your encouraging words!  I'm looking forward to sharing the contents of the books when they arrive (provided the girls and their mom approve).  I hope the girls will realize that it's Auntie T-rex who's keeping that book when it's done.  They can have it when I move to The Home!

thankyoulocust I think having the little cousins do something like this is a great idea!  How fun it will be for everyone to look back at the art as it changes over time.

Oh what a great idea!  All of my baby sisters live far away, but my 10 year old sister lives across the country and we're lucky if we see each other once a year .. she would LOVE this .. she is forever sending me emails and complaining that I don't email her back the instant she sends them, haha.  Thanks for the inspiration!

That is a really great idea. Its so easy to make a phone call, but the paper memories are the best. If you are interested in doing this with other people there is a website for traveling journals at www.1001journals.co m

Wouldn't I be a great spokesperson for things?

This is such a great idea! I would have been thrilled to do something like this when I was little. I might use this idea when my friend and I leave high school (we're both arty people).
