This is kind of funny. I made it out of Nilla Wafers, a peppermint patty, and some holiday baking pieces. I love hamburgers (as a motif), and I love little food, so this is hilarious to me.

I didn't even realize I picked out the Blue Plate to photograph the Blue Plate Special on. It must have been subconscious.

The lettuce is green christmas tree pieces, and the ketchup is melted red christmas stockings. The mayo is melted white almond bark (I would have used white baking pieces, but I didn't have any). I was trying to go for cheese, but I didn't have anything yellow that I could use for cheese, so the "cheese" ended up looking more like mayo.

I guess you could use something like fruit stripe gum for the cheese if you wanted.

My mom used to make those for birthday treats for my brother and me. Except we used coconut that we dyed green for the lettuce and then frosting dyed yellow and red for ketchup and mustard. They were always a big hit with my classmates. And one year my whole party was hamburger themed and she made a hamburger cake. I'll try to locate a pic, it was pretty cool.

I used to make those in Girl Scouts when I was younger, except we used "Thin Mints" as the pattie, and frosting for everything else.  Grin
