I really like this! It's a gorgeous colour, and a really nice design - I don't usually like cropped cardigans much but yours is lovely!

Very well done.  I only wish a little cardi shrug would work in my office.  I  have a blanket over my shoulders right now.  Stupid university not knowing how to run the heat/air, ever.   Roll Eyes

That is a beautiful color.
 I too suffer from over airconditioning.  There have been times when I've gotten in my car and just sat there warming up before starting the car.

Thank you guys! I was caught off-guard by your enthusiasm, but the pattern is now written and I have sent it off to some knitterly friends so they can tell me whether I've royally messed it up before I post it for you lovely knitters.
I love the color of this yarn too. It is called Oasis and it is made by South West Trading Company, the color is just "purple" and it looks hand dyed, though I don't know if it is for sure.
I should have the pattern up tonight so keep an eye out.
