i've searched the internet a few times but i can't find out how to make a ruffle for a purse i'm making. i've only just learned to crochet and i only know how to single crochet. any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks Smiley

You can still make a ruffle with just single crochet but it will be shorter than if you knew how to double crochet.
Basically to make something ruffly make a ton of increases. You'll have to play to see how much ruffle you want but basically work 2 or 3 stitches in each stitch and your fabric should start to ripple or ruffle.
Just know that it uses a ton of yarn to make a ruffle.

Yeah, basically you just increase tons to get ruffles. There's a scarf that's curly and the basic technique of making it ruffly is increasing in every, single stitch.
