SO this is my first official topic, that said i've been brainstorming an ipod armband because i can't bring myself to spend thirty dollars when i could make one in a half hour. after a failed attempt at reconning a pair of jersey mesh gym shorts into an armband (the fabric  was sooo slippery and sooo hard to sew tiny little seams!), i settled on some ripstop nylon for the pouch and 3/4 inch wide elastic for the armbands. easy!! the click wheel opening is a little wonky but i don't care. i can't wait to go running and try it out.

front: featuring pencil marks i didn't wipe off yet

back

bulging muscles. ha

excellent work.

if the elastic starts to bug you, you could make a sort of terry cloth scrunchy around them out of a washcloth or something!   OR  get wrist bands (you know, like sweat bands).

Thanks for the idea!

That's pretty awesome! I'm inspired to make something similar for my MP3 player. I don't run, but I'm always getting the headphones yanked out of my ears when I'm cleaning. Yours is great!
