My favourite web comic is xkcd, and I totally fell in love with this one http://www.xkcd.com/184/. And since I need things to put on my walls I thought 'Why not embroider it!'. And so it became:

If the image doesn't work you can see it here

Made with black dmc on off white wool fabric. I backstitched it, and that is not my favourite stitch so it came out quite a bit wonky.. It is approximately 9x13 cm.
For those not quite so geeky is I: The first thing is a rotational matrix. It rotates vectors by 90 degrees, which changes the numbers inside that vector and thus their direction in space, NOT the way you write them on the paper Wink

Ah I love it! And I think an embroidered wall hanging looks much nicer than a printed out paper wall hanging =)

This is a great idea!  Although as a liberal arts major, it may be unsuitable for me.  I can see how xkcd would lend itself well to needlework.

or not  Huh

had to be there, maybe....   Roll Eyes

or realize that my husband has a thing about squirrels (they have a thing about his flagpole on the front porch)

I used to have an Algebra prof in college that juggled and told math jokes for his "real job" and worked at the college to pay the bills, LOL! On the day of finals he juggled and told us math jokes!
