I've just really started working with wire and beads, and this is something of an experiment for me: A small hand mirror made of beads and wire.

This overall photo gives you an idea of the size. I used a 3" mirror--available at any craft store, two different gauges of beading wire, along with glass and plastic beads

Check out some close ups:

As a final touch I added beading to the back to keep it from looking too unfinished:

So, what does everyone think? I'd love to hear comments.

That's really pretty!!  It would have never occured to me to do something like that, that's really creative!

And I like that you did the back too, it does make it look much more finished.  Great job!

your mirror is GORGEOUS!!!  when you hold it, does the mirror part at the handle want to bend due to the weight of the mirror?  (did that make sense?)  Cheesy  i would think that with a heavy enough gauge (maybe 16 or 18), it wouldnt.
