Who's in?

I just ordered my yarn yesterday...it's a lovely berry/plummy colour called "Sultana." Delish.

The pattern is here... http://www.zephyrstyle.com/catalog/item.cfm/2367447/3974520

I would love to make this sweater too. What yarn are you using? The sample was knit in KP Andean Silk, which is not one of my favorite yarns.

This is next on my to do list.  I'm not sure what yarn to use.  I'd love a red like the pics but I think I will just stash bust with some Jaegar Wool/Alpaca.

Are you planning on knitting the "holey" body?  My hubby doesn't like the look of that and I'm not sure how practical it would be so I'm trying to come up with a good mod.

I showed the sweater pic to my sister and asked if she liked it. She thought that holey at the top and solid on the bottom would look better on her. She thought the pattern as written would make her hips look bigger.

This is a cute sweater, it will have to wait on my to-do list but I can't wait to see other versions. Do ya'll think the garter stitch will get baggy?

I really really really would love to have Interweave Knits Spring 2007 for those Eunny Chang entrelac socks. . . Does anyone want to swap for it?! I have yarn, I can sew, embroider, knit.

I just bought this pattern, but I have a few more things to finish up before I start it.

I haven't decided on my yarn yet, but I'll watch this thread.

And I'm doing the holey version like the pictures - I love the look!

Well I made a start on this yesterday as soon as another project was off the needles.  It's a fairly quick knit and I really like the look of the YOs on the cowl.  I think I'm going to carry them on in the body.  I can alway rip it back if it doesn't work for me.

Anyway here is a little progress shot:

I'm planning to make this my first cold weather project (once I finish a couple more summery items).

candicane: I was thinking of using the KP Andean Silk for this, since the price is right, but I've never used any KP yarns before.  What don't you like about it?
