are the cinnamon sticks actually glued on or something? or are they just held in place by the ribbon. That's pretty cute, I may just have to steal this idea Wink

i know this sounds a little ghetto, but i tried hot glue, but it just melted the wax.  i tried just the string, but the cinnamon sticks kept slipping out of the bottom of the candle. so heres where the ghetto comes in..lol.   i had a bunch of think ouchless they are called, pony tail holders. lol...i used brown ones, and then placed the cinnamon sticks under the elastic band, and tied with ribbon. i think the brown looks nice, and it stays really well. you should totally steal this idea

what about melting the sticks into the candle?  you could use a lighter to barely melt the side of the candle (so it's a little gummy, but not dripping all over the place) and just stick the cinnamin sticks to the wax.  it might not be completely secure, but then you could tie ribbon or whatever you want to use around it to secure it.
