you have done an excellent job, it looks like the fabric was just purchased especially for this quilt. I think it is amazing. Can't think of a name that would do it justice.

Wow, that quilt is amazing. Did you have a pattern or did you piece it to fit yourself?

Hi, Gerberagirl... thanks!  I didn't use a pattern, I just saw a photo of a completed quilt called Plaids and Stripes by Roberta Horton, and I loved it so I made one similar.  If I recall, hers used quite a few darker fabrics, which I intended to do, also, but it didn't turn out that way, and I'm glad it didn't - I like the lightness of it.  Funny how things organically work out sometimes.  Smiley

This is BEAUTIFUL!  I am so in love with this quilt!  My question to you is, even though it's a scrap quilt & you didn't use a pattern, how did you get it to look so aligned and make it so the blocks still fit together perfectly?  I want to try a scrap quilt for all my leftover fabrics, but I'm never sure how to start!  Keep up the excellent work, you're an inspiration!

Hi, Bees_knees!  Thanks for your compliments, it's so nice to get feedback!

The quilt looks kind of random at first, but it's really pieced in vertical strips.  All the strips are sort of the same (i.e., all triangles, all bars, or all squares) with a few thrown in totally randomly.  In addition, I think this quilt really works because of the colour groupings... I often used a few of the same fabrics together in one spot.  I had no idea it was going to look like this - I had kind of a different idea in my head when I started, but I was pleasantly surprised with the results.

This quilt is fantastic!  I'm bad with titles.  In my house this would be known as "That Quilt I Did With All Those Men's Shirts".
