I made these hats to protect my boys' heads fom the sun. I guess you could call them recons because I made them from leftover material from their Daddy's pants to shorts conversion. I took apart a similar hat to see how it was made and loosely based the patterns off of that, but they actually didn't end up looking much like the original hat at all. Elliot's has red stitching and Oliver's has blue. I think they sure are handsome looking fellas.

Definitely handsome fellas! Those are great hats, sort of like a bucket hat but the way you've done it a little more like old-fashioned porkpie hats and they look just right on a couple of little boys.
