Thank you all!

These are my first attempts at needle felting. I got my inspiration from this book I saw online, it's in Japanese however. In it was all of these adorable felted dogs. I can't read Japanese, so I kind of just winged it.

I'll look for it and see if I can find it.

All of these are quite small. The schnauzer and the bermese mountain dog stand about 2 1/2 inches tall, and fit in the palm of your hand. I wrapped wire in them, so their legs are posable.

I bought my needle felting kit online from ebay from the seller: wind4934. She has this bag of roving plus 4 felting needles for $9.00. It comes in teddy bear colors, and I thought it would work great for dogs. She has all kinds of other bags too, and she shipped out very quickly.

Felting is super fun, and the end product is much faster than some of my other wool related obsessions. There will be many more doggies to come!

Those are SO freaking cute!  I just wanted to tell you too that if you get these finger protectors for wood carving, that will help with the needle stabs.  I seriously have stabbed to the bone a couple of times.  I got a thumb and an index and then I turn them to how I'm holding them.  You don't give up the flexibility of holding your piece while you work and you don't have scream expletives every minute or so.  GREAT job!!!  Cheesy
