Hi everyone, I'm a journalist at the East Bay Express and I'm interested in writing about East Bay ladies who embrace traditional "feminine" activities as an expression of their feminism more than traditionalism. If any of you fit this category and are interested in being interviewed (or know someone to refer me to) please email me at laila.weir @eastbayexpress.com or call 510-879-3737.

Sounds like a great idea!  I'll keep my eye out for the first meeting post.
I'm in Richmond and would love to meet some crafty people in the East Bay!  I just took up knitting (4 scarves and three hats so far) and do a little sewing and some paper crafts.  I could host once things get going.

Hi! My name is Casie, I'm 32 and live in Oakland and would love to meet a few crafty folks and get my wannabe-more-crafty butt motivated.  I'm in!

i have to confess that i don't go to the east bay much but could maybe host occasionally in the city if you all were interested.  i live south of market, right off bart, and as long as it's not a weekend night there's usually parking.

hi everyone - we haven't had a meetup yet, thanks for being patient. i am actually going out of town for 2 weeks so if you guys can wait until i get back to get together i'll get everything on track and host at my house. BUT i totally understand the need to craft while the iron is hot (or something like that) and if any of you decide to meet up in the meantime that's great. i have been keeping a list of those interested by just reading the new posts on this thread - for the meetup i plan on posting one general notice and then sending out personal emails to confirm. have a great rest of the month everyone and i promise to get this going when i get back!

I would love to join a East Bay crafting group.  I live in Richmond.  I mostly make CP soap and bath items these days.  I also knit, weave, make baskets, sew, quilt, can, etc...
