I made a pretty "barefoot sandal" style anklet, and loved it.  I'd stick  ;)my foot out in front of me and gaze at the loveliness.  Then I took this picture of it to show you fine folks, and uploaded the picture, and thought - ewww!  what a weird foot!  I had no idea!  Anyway, try to overlook the foot and appreciate the anklet Wink

It's just clear seed beads and glass seed pearls on elastic cord, and the cross piece is done with a crossover technique.

ETA:  maybe this should have been put in the beads section - it's just sort of an unusual accessory, so I put it here.  If it has to be moved, I apologize for the inconvenience.

Wow! That anklet is beautiful! It almost looks like diamonds, they're so sparkly! This is sort of off subject, but when using the elastic cord, how do you finish it off? I have some elastic cord that always slips out of the knot and I heard if you melt it with a lighter or something that works.

Thanks a lot, you guys!  I've tried several finishing techniques, but the lighter things actually makes my elastic sort of brittle, after it cools.  I lost about an hour's worth of beading that way once, so I won't try that again!  Currently, I just do three knots and pull really firmly, then put a drop of super glue on the knot and pull it into the hole of the nearest bead to both hide and set it.  Those knots are holding strong.  Of course, if I'm putting on a clasp, I run the cord through a crimp bead, then through the clasp loop, then back through the crimp bead and crimp it down tight, then hide the tail of cord in the first few beads.  That works really well, too.

I think you have very cute feet! The anklet is really cute.  I think i'll make one with little beaded forget-me-nots down the front to match my forget-me-not tattoo!
