hello everyone ,
Ive been wanting to work with with 2 way and 4 way stretch fabrics, but haven't had the opportunity and .. didint want to waste money .. if for some reason it was really hard to work with ...any way .. I didint even realize that i already had some in my stash  Embarrassed Wink ..I found it today by accident and even though the print isn't my first choice I decided to use it as practice .. and I actually kinda like the results and my bF especially does ..
tell me if you guys think it looks OK ..

the print is some weird like blue peacock feathers with what kinda look like red Christmas ornaments and some other type of leaf .... T tried to make a sorta Little black dress .. ( but not black ) .. i didint have a pattern but based the size off a favorite old tank ..( also i know the fabric being white and all is a lil see through ish  Embarrassed .. so it will most likely be worn as a nightie ..plus its really comfortable

I used some knit binding for the top .. but just left the bottom surged

The fabric was a bit tough to work with ( possibly because I was down to literally one machine needle and it was kinda huge ..my surger worked great .. but for reinforcing the seams on the regular machine .. I had to use paper .. Ive never papered seams before and I'm not even sure if I did it correctly ( BUT IT WORKED )  Wink Smiley Cheesy Grin I just used regular printer paper
here is a pic

and here is a sorta close up of the fabric ..

thanks so much for looking and Id really love some feedback on this one ..being that its My first time working with this fabric...

Have a wonderfull night/day
Jayne

Looks great! I think it could work with denim (jeans or capris).  Smiley

That's wonderful! I LOVE the fabric. It's so much fun! I'm slightly scared of small, tight dresses, but I am always awed to see those who can make them and pull them off. Cheers.

WOW! That dress is GREAT! As others have said, unusual fabric that I would have passed on, but the cut and the trim make it SOOO cute! I hope the dress gets out of the house! You look good in it! As always - creative!

If I could pull that off as well as you do, I'd definately wear it!  As it is, I probably coulndn't even wear it with jeans, haha.

I love the fabric, it's really, really cute!  And I wouldn't have known that was your first try at working with that kind of fabric, it looks really well made.  Good work!

That fabric is so funky - I don't think I'd ordinarily like it, but you can make *anything* look good.

Methinks the "peacock feathers" are actually pine needles. Which would be more logical and suit the ornaments better Tongue

Hi, Jayne!

Great dress (nightie, if you prefer..). It's a great design for your figure. As usual, your modeling skills contiue to impress. The orange really makes this work together.  Wink

Couldn't you wear a tank top and shorts under it and use it as a dress or top?

Noticing... Did yiou cut your hair again? Grin
