I was going though the magazines at my work one day, when I came across a copy one called "Midwifery" (I think) that had a lady wearing a surprisingly nice looking poncho on the cover.  I figured out the gist of the pattern, and set to work on making a test strip before making the whole thing.  Then Kaitlin suggested that I make something out of the test.  So here it is.

Here's the whole thing.

Different angle.

Close up of one end.

And the other end.

And the middle.

Action shot!

It should be nice and warm in the fall.  It's the first thing I've made from one of my own patterns.  It's not quite what I wanted, so I'm working on fixing the pattern up. Any tips or comments are always appreciated.  Thanks for looking!

It's really pretty!  I love the open-ness (laciness?) of it, and the yarn shows off the different stitches really well.  And it's a great color too!

Lovely! That would make a fantastic headscarf done in a really lightweight yarn.

I love that you've finished it. I'm proud of you. I hardly ever finish anything Sad

Maybe I'll buy a camera soon and that'll motivate me to post things.
