Very cute idea.  I love using packing tape and laminating things are well.  Something you may want to do if you make more is use colored duct tape (Duck tape (tm) brand has a nice assortment I believe) on your joints or seams to reinforce them.  Cardboard backing - or using your old school folders/notebook covers/book covers as a foundation would make a bag sturdier as well.  Would make a nice personalized gift for a friend - I'd love a little clutch bag made of my schoolgirl memories.

Thank you! Wow, a skirt?! Now that sounds fun! I'm sure you'd get alot of fun comments Smiley Iron on transfers scare me a bit. I stick to tape(haha, pun not intended).

Actually, that was my brother's birthday present to me for my 16th. I'm not in love with Johnny Depp, so he wrote a letter to me from him, saying all this stuff about how he knew I didn't love him before and had come up with how. I can't describe it, but it was hilarious, and needed to be eternalized in the bag. Wow that was pointless....

very cool! i made a bag like this once only it was with magazine ads. i used contact paper, which was easy since it comes in sheets, you don't have to cover it row by row like they tape, if that makes sense. just a tip. very clever!
