just like maybe 4 days ago, i saw a tutorial on here for a diaper valet. it was very well done, in quilted fabric, with a velcro closure and whatnot...now, i can't seem to find it, anywhere! i searched "diaper valet" and "valet tutorial" and even "diaper tutorial" and cannot find the post at all! i even looked through like 4 pages of this section!

does anyone know where it went? i was planning on making one in the next few weeks :-/

Admin erased it  Sad

"I wanted to let you know that we had to delete your tutorial for the diaper valet. It was an amazing tutorial and when people take the time to do this, we all really appreciate it! But in this case, one of the women who runs diapervalet.com contacted us and asked for it to be removed. It borders on copyright violation since that bag is their original creation. And they are afraid that having a tutorial out there opens things up to competitors who might make and sell the bag that they worked so hard to create."

Hi, my name is Adrienne- and I have a dream.  A dream of creating a small business in my community employing moms at a decent wage built only around an original idea that fills a universal need and excellent craftsmanship.

Our business is barely off the ground.  We opened mid-January and have scrambled for free press from blogs.  We sell maybe 1 or 2 bags a week.  That's it.  We haven't even recouped our small initial investment.

I've spent the last few days learning about creative commons copyright licensing so we could post to our company web site the exact pattern for the Diaper Valet.  We are planning to offer it for free for personal, non-commercial use.

I guess I'm tired as being portrayed as "THE MAN" when I'm the "the mom" with a toddler who screams angrily as I research flipping copyright and haven't made a penny, much less a dime off my original idea.

This hurts people.  Seriously.

I'm sorry Adrienne......I started the whole thing...I wanted something like it....didn't have to be exact...because....I am a stay at home mother of 3.  My husband works and pays child support for his two other kids....I don't get any child support for my two from my ex....so we are struggling and I couldn't afford to buy one of your bags..I wish I could!  I just asked if anyone knew how to make something like it......it turned into a huge deal and I am very sorry...it is a wonderful idea and I wish you the best.
