My sister requested a taggie blankie for my favourite niece (note: I only have one niece Grin).  I used Minky Dot chenille fabric for one side, and one of Heather Bailey's Freshcut fabrics for the other side.  It was fun to select the ribbons and trims for the taggie blankie, but I think the lady at the fabric cutting counter was rather annoyed about having to cut 24 eight-inch pieces of ribbons/trims for me Tongue

The girly floral side!

The plush bumpy side!

Check out the giant rick rack trim (it had a width of an inch or so)!!!

Thanks Cheesy  The sewing bit is easy peasy, but it was a bit of a bear to make sure that the ribbons/pins were evenly spaced!

Awww!  How sweet!  Are tagged baby things a fairly new thing?  It makes so much sense to have have so many pretty, soft grabbable places.

Well, I'm not sure if it's a fairly new thing, but it seems to be rather popular right now.  Yes, it does make sense to have all sorts of tags, ribbons, and trims for babies to play with Smiley

Thanks Sheva Smiley

If I can't find them in my local shop, I usually check out the online shops.  My favourites are Hancock's of Paducah and eBay.  Hope that helps!

I am just in the process of making a taggie blanket for my little bundle due at the beginning of October. I have made a big one using polar fleece fabric patchworked together. Will post pics once it's done. I saw someone on here recommend it and I thought it was such a good idea.

Hmmm...I've never thought about using polar fleece but it sounds like a great idea!  I'd love to see pictures of your completed blankie!
