My Uncles Wig

Although not knitted by me, I knew that the talented craftsters among us would appreciate this bit of work.  My Uncle has been diagnosed with cancer and has to undergo chemotherapy shortly so my Aunty knitted him a wig!!!!!  He has been wearing it at work and one customer started to comment on his lovely white hair before she realised that it was actually knitted. He has requested an orange one so he can go back to his natural colour .  Anyway to the details, knitted without a pattern, but took a couple of hours to complete with approx 5 fittings.  I think he looks rather handsome in it.

Isn't that fantastic?   It was very much worth the 5 sittings it took as it's perfect on him.  I wish him well in his recovery  and yes, he looks very handsome

He could have them in all different colours.
And mustaches to match.... yes. 

I hope he gets better soon too.

That/He looks AWESOME!!  I love the "orange/natural color"...  Maybe she should make him a bunch in different colors...  It could be like mood hair.  

Wish him well for us Craftsters.  My mom is awaiting her upcoming Chemo schedule.  I'm making her a Shedir from Knitty....  I would love to make her some fun "hair" but I don't think she would wear it...

That is quite possibly the coolest thing ive ever seen on craftster..its so awesome! and it looks so COOL on him! It is so great for you to help him this way..

Wow, that's indeed a very cool wig! Iwish your uncle to get well soon! Indeed he looks very handsome wearing this wig! Please post some pics, if your aunt knits him an orange one!

When I saw the thumbnail in the new projects I thought "wow, these Craftsters are amazing - someone has made their own grandpa" ;-)

That is so clever - and so well done.

I wish I could knit, I'd make one for my cousin, who's had a long year of chemo & radiation.  I'll bet it puts a smile on your uncle's face.
