This SO ROCKS!  I'm in absolute awe that someone could see this adorable sweater and come up with finished version and a pattern so quickly.  Thank you!!!

And while I'm at it...I've never seen a more generous and positive and encouraging group than all you Craftsters!
It must be the Crafty people who keep this world turning...  Grin

I'm going to have to find my crochet hook. I haven't done any serious crochet (just flowers and that one skien scarf from stitch and bitch crochet). Must. Find. Hook.  Wink

chucklikesart -

of course i have a question right from the start...  Roll Eyes the first Ch59, which part of the sweater would that form? is it the base of the body? i'm just asking because i think i'd like mine a bit smaller than your measurements, and so i want to make sure i adjust in the right areas.

i can't wait for your photos, it always helps to have a good visual aide!

Ch59 is the neck of the sweater.

If you want to make yours smaller, you need to keep it in numers that are divisible by 4 plus 3 chain for turning.

56/4 =14

14/2=7

7 is the number of stitches that makes up the front panels of the sweater. the 8th is for turning, the next 13 stitches make up the sleeve, the 14th is four turning, the next 12 stitches make up the back, the 13th is for turning, the next 13 make a sleeve, the 14th for turning, and the last 7 make a panel.

Does that help at all?
