This was a sz6 kid's Barney and Baby Bop tshirt.
It was obviously too small for a 16 yr old to wear, so I made it into a tank top (very easy to do, by the way). I had to gather the sides to make it fit just right. Looks good?

update!
here's a tutorial:

It's too small, but it says...

1. cut off sleeves, collar, and back.
2. cut four short strips, long enough for the collar and back.
*pair them up and sew two stripes together on one side only. this will leave you with two pairs, one for the collar one for the back.
3. cut four long strips, long enough for the straps (all the way around your shoulder and armpit). *repeat. sew ends together forming a circle.
4. press unsewn edges of all 4 strips (2 short, 2 long) inward.
5. attachment: fold strip in half overtop of shirts edges. attach collar and back strips first. then the straps.
*like I said I had to gather the sides on mine, due to lack of material. If you wish to as well, obviously, do so before attachment of straps.

...and ta-da!  hopefully it'll look like a tanktop
