The pattern is from Last Minute Knitted Gifts (Cashmere Scarf) but I was not willing to spend quite that much on yarn so it is a wool/alpaca/silk mix (still not cheap, gah!).  The yarn is a kettle dyed black to gray -- which didn't show up so well when I was taking pictures.  The yarn was also slightly bigger than the yarn called for so I only cast on 19 stitches instead of 21.  One good thing about bulky yarn - finished this sucker in one day!  Sorry the pics are so big.

What do you think?  I can't decide if I like the front side or back side better.

I just got home and found the yarn tag.  It's Araucania Limari semi solids.  70% Merino 20% Alpaca, 10% Silk

I knit it on US #11 with about 2.75 stitches per inch in pattern.
