I think this would be more than appropriate for a scholarship awards ceremony--phooey on your mom, wear it!!  Very cute!

Real clothes?! Has your mother seen the thoughtless throw-together most young girls are wearing these days? Yikes!
This is not only funky and unique - it is very cool because it was made by you!  Very well I might add!
I have the opposite problem with my daughter; she will all to often only want to wear clothing within a certain realm of "storebought unique". Ick.
If your mother thinks it is too revealing you could just wear it with a nice white blouse underneath or a bolo jacket over the top and maybe leggings under the bottom if she thinks it's too revealing on the bottom?
Remember, anybody can wear something from the store and they do. Do you want to be anybody? Wink
Just my 2 cents - as a mom and such.

thats cute, and i would certainly wear it out.

you might want to pair it with a cute waist belt to get more definition in your waist area.

I love it!  Grin It's not anywhere near as revealing as some of the things I see girls (and even a few mothers!) on campus wearing... and it's super-flattering on you!

Oh yea, I would also like to throw my vote for a tute. Smiley
