Hi All:
My husband and I are taking a trip to Denver next week with a side trip to Colorado Springs.  I wondered if anyone knew of "can't miss" yarns shops or craft hot spots in the area.  I'm looking forward to being someplace cool.  It was 111 here yesterday!  Urf!

You could also try posting in the state sections in the city guides forum.

Denver proper, east of downtown.  Very nice little local business district (about one block of shops) in a residential area.

On the north side, there is Shuttles Spindles and Skeins in Boulder, at Table Mesa and Broadway. They also have weaving stuff (looms, roving, dyes). nayy

Yeah, showers of flowers rocks.  I took a knitting class there, and the teacher was great!

There's also the Recycled Lamb in Wheat Ridge.  Not as big as showers of flowers, but they have some neat yarn.  I think they have classes there, too.

I can't remember exactly what it says, but I think it's funny.  It's just comically stating that if you can't control your kids maybe you shouldn't go in.  Kids are allowed, though, and they can keep themselves entertained by petting the cute resident dogs.

ok i gotcha. well thats fine, i usually can control my kid. i can understand though if there's some 4 yr old in there running around picking up skeins of yarn and putting them somewhere else or ripping them apart i'd say something too. btw, are you coming to the snb on the 13th?

There are a ton of amazing yarn shops in Denver if you stay within the city. I haven't really checked out Colorado Springs, but i'm sure there are a few. However, if you go the one's near Coors Field, you will find some beautiful shops with lots of variety. Good luck!
