handmade crafts and unsolicited advice

I started making this owl about a week ago when I signed up for the Harry Potter swap, then, when I got my swap partner, found that she doesn't like owls, so I guess I will have to keep her for myself (unless someone wants to do a personal swap???). I wanted it to be bigger than other toys I had made, and I didn't have a pattern at all, but I used a picture of a real snowy owl for inspiration (I put the one I used below). She came out at about 8 inches tall and about 10 inches from top of head to tip of tail. I am thinking of getting some white fun fur or fuzzy fur to put around his beak and possibly still making some feet, but that is going to have to wait until I get paid and can go to the craft store again. Thanks so much for looking and for your comments!
UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE
I just finished making some feet for Hedwig and put some "feathers" around her beak as well.
Here is the updated Hedwig:

Here is her feathery beak:

And here are her feet:

So these are the pictures of Hedwig before she had feet:

How awesome is that! I love it! Did you use a cotton yarn? It kind of looks like cotton, that stuff is rough on your hands, snicker.

There will always be people who say mean words  because you are different, and sometimes their minds cannot be changed. There are many more people who do not judge others based on how they look or where they are from. THOSE are the people whose WORDS truly matter.
