Well, I made a mini sock last night to test if I could actually make a gusset and heel flap heel.  It was probably more difficult to work the heel on a small scale like this rather than a full-sized sock, so I'm sure I'll be even more happy with the results of my next full-sized project, now that I know I won't be totally lost when it comes to the flap heel!  I worked at such high tension that the k2tog were murder and the yarn had some speckling and stray strands in it, so the blue on the green toe was an unfortunate blob of stray color and the white looks dingy instead of pure white.  Oh well!  I'll spin some hand-spun for my next mini sock!

Thanks for looking!
RM

Oh...and I didn't put this on the 'clothing board' because it's not made to actually be worn, but just as a decorative item in this case.  I will not be making a pair with this yarn.

Thanks you two!  Here are 25 uses for the mini sock, though I'm sure we Craftsters could come up with even more!   Grin

The yarn is Lion Brand Magic Stripes, BTW.
