Hello all.  I am a newbie here so please let me know if I've put this in the wrong spot.  I've been lurking all around the site and am truly in awe of the talent on display.  The images below were made from photos I've taken and then altered while testing out one of the image editor programs.  I will be interested to see what you think.

This is a butterfly on a fence.

Here is another version of the same photo.

And this one is called Skipping September.

Thanks for looking.

The butterflies are wonderful, but I am totally in awe of skipping september.  What a beautiful picture!!  If you don't have it framed and on your wall yet, you should do so immediately!

Thanks for the comments.   Here is one from a series of pictures I took at the family farm.

I'd like to know what you think.

I love the technique you applied to that photo, and best of all, it reminds me of my grandparent's farm in PA, which gives it a homey, warm, and sentimental feel to it (for me, anyway).  Nice work!

Have we got some internal sequin issues, Benjamin?

Here is another in the City Boys series.

City Boys 2.

It is funny, the white dots don't show up in the prints, but they are certainly there in this image.  I wonder why that is.

Again, I appreciate any suggestions you might have as I try to learn more about what I am doing.

It's fun playing with the filters and stuff in image programs.

For the white dots in the last one...hmm.  Maybe you can do it over.  "despeckle" it or reduce the noise and then do the effect; just gotta play around with it.

I will have to try that.  It is really kind of strange because I just got out the print again and I don't see the speckles there.
