Hi,

I am thinking about knitting the tuxedo jacket from the twinkle's city book. Has anybody tried it? I am probably going to substitute the yarn, any ideas on that?

Also i am looking for an easy sock pattern, i have to fly in a couple of weeks and thought this would be an easy project to take along.

Thanks for your help.

as far as the tuxedo jacket goes, you can check the knitalong to see if anyone has made one (hint: click on the "show images only" tab to see all the posts with pics or just search the thread, rather than reading all 50-some pages).  i know a lot of people over there have subbed with lion brand thick 'n' quick and some of the aussies have been using a local mill, but i don't remember what else has been used.  good luck!

Just found your post, since I'm going to make it as well.

I just used triple-stranded Caron Simply Soft for my last Twinkle project, and it worked pretty well. So there's a nice alternative. I bought six skeins in total for this tuxedo jacket, so I think that should do it. (If not, there's no dye lot anyway.)
