about the freezer paper stuck to the shirt...I was thinking about this today and I know that if you get wax on a table cloth you can get it off by freezing it.  I wonder if taking an ice cube to it wouldn't help to release the wax from the freezer paper as well.

Hey everyone!

Thanks for all the great comments! To answer a few questions...

For the paint I used acrylic mixed with textile meidum, but honestly it's a bit crunchy and if I were to do it again, I'd look for something that would leave the fabric softer...maybe fabric paint or something like that?

For the hood, I cut out 4 d-ish shapes, two maroon and two black. Sewed each color together on the curve, and then each of those all most all the way around (right sides together, of course). Then I flipped it right side out and sewed up the little hole I had left. Then, since I knew I probably wouldn't be actually wearing the hood up on my head I sewed it by putting on the hood right side up, attaching the bottom of the hood to the outside of the shirt collar.  Does that make sence?

I hope that answers peoples questions. I can't wait to wear it to my Potter Party tomorrow!!

That is so awesome. I'd seen the idea before and love how you made it a reality.

Wow, that's really awesome!

I wish I'd read this yesterday!
I'd love to make one for my HP party tonight, but I don't think the paint would dry by then. Sad

But *thumbs up* to you!
