So, it all starts when I'm in borders getting in a little nerd healing the other day as I am perusing the stationary section...and I really want everything they have but considering I am saving money for my big move to California....I cant have any.

This makes me cranky

So I think back to my good old craftster days (oh how I have missed you) to some ephemera swaps I have done...and the idea hits me

Don't get me wrong, I doubt this is strikingly original...

There would be 21 participants...
Each of us would purchase a pack of notecards, or stationary...something letter write (you get my point) and we would send one to each of the other 20 participants.

Some of the participants would probably want the notecards to send along themselves, so those you would leave blank and maybe just put a little note inside, while others might want the different cards for doing ATC's or other crafts, and those you could write a little hello inside...

What do you all think? The end result should be each of us with a stationary set for all different occasions, people, reasons, whatevers!

Maybe each participant will have one or two specific buddies to send something else to as well...something personal or maybe a container for all of these lovely notecards, or some stickers...something

Let me know if you guys have any more ideas for this.

That is a fun idea!  I'm always looking for blank-inside notecards, it would be nice to have a bunch of different ones.

And I already have some I could send!

I plan on running this after my move to Cali in a month or so, once I get all set up there...so spread the word!

Great!!  I was hoping you'd be starting it in August or later, I have a few swaps that need to be wrapped up right now.

I like the sound of this! Could we do hand-made cards, or would we limit it to strictly store-bought?

Handmade cards would be great, but I didn't want to make that mandatory, as mine will probably be store bought. To keep it crafty, we will make a container/box for one special some one to keep all their new stationary in, and that will be handmade/decorated/you know what I mean.

The box is a great idea!  I think I'll probably be starting with store-bought cards then embellishing them.  It's cheaper than buying cardstock!

There are some really neat almost blank cards at drugstores and the dollar store that can be spruced up! And you're right, waaaay cheaper than cardstock!
