Hello I've lived in Ottawa for about 2 years and I feel that I am missing the crafty side of the city. Any recommendations for crafty and unique stores and events in the city?

for stores, there's tons! i'd start with Michaels. they have almost everything for a crafster like you and i. and of course, there's the ever so popular Wal-Mart. they're pretty good for cheap crafting supplies.

The Fabric Flea Market takes place twice a year (I think) at the Glebe Community Centre. You'll find great deals and more than just fabric. A good way to spend a day.

Do you know when the fabric flea market is taking place this year? I googled it but couldn't find anything. I would LOVE to go. Grin

Hey all!

I need a listing of craft sales/places I can sell my crafty wares, in Ottawa. I know of Ladyfest and their regular craft sales, but what about others? I can easily fit in to a grandma's craft sale, anyway; my stuff is for all ages!

Anyone have anything they know of? Even a few hours outside of Ottawa is fine.

Emmeline88 - if you keep an eye on this page, they will advertise the fabric sale. (I thought it was only once a year though...)

The Ottawa Spinners and Weavers also have an annual show there too, with booths for needle felting, knitting, handspun etc.

Have you hugged your mod today? Smiley
