I made this for the book party at midnight when the last Harry Potter book comes out. I just learned how to crochet last week so my teacher made the ears.

BTW, I saw one on here a couple of days ago that insired me and I can't for the life of me find it!  Embarrassed

You've inspired me now! I've been trying to figure out what I want to make to wear to the book release, and I just might have to make one of those! I can totally stash bust most of the hat. Great job!! Did your teacher use a pattern for the ears?

Have old jeans, pillowcases, or t-shirts? I'll take them! I'm also always looking for the sleeves to women's long sleeved shirts!

kbauer, no she didn't use a pattern. She just sort of made it up.

Yea, when I looked at it closer, it seems like they would be fairly easy to whip up. I've got my hat a little over halfway done, if you don't count the elf ears. I'm tempted to leave it the smallish size it is, make the ears, & have my daughter (who's 13 months old) wear it to the book release party this Friday.  Cheesy
