This is Tungsten. He loves gameboy, philosophy, and world robot domination!

He is made out of lion brand micro spun, which I really like for stuffed cuties because it is so slippery. This allows you to make very tight stitches, so the stuffing wont show, but the slipperiness makes it easier to pull the hook though the stitches.

Thanks for all the nice comments!

I actually made up the pattern. I don't remember exactly what I did, but I think I could write out a reasonable approximation if people were interested.

Right now I can give you the basic idea:
I tried to make all the pieces as square as possible.
Each piece started with chain 2 and 6 single crochet in 2nd chain from hook.
2nd row 2 single crochet in each stitch.
3rd row 2 single crochet in 1 stitch, 1 single crochet in 1 stitch, and repeat.
Then for each additional row add 1 more single crochet in 1 stitch in between your  2 single crochets in 1 stitch.
for example: 4th row is 2 single crochet in 1 stitch, 1 single crochet in 2 stitches.

This creates a flat disc. When the disc was big enough, I just started doing 1 single crochet in each stitch, to make the angle as sharp as possible.

"Super cute" is right -- that's completely adorable! I love robots and have knit some before but am in the process of crocheting one right now. Maybe he will be friends with yours!  Wink
