I've noticed on several hat posts that cereal boxes are used as the brim...

You can also slice them on the diagonal and use them to store magazines.

I make the kids school folders out of them. The other kids ridiculed them at first, but I have cool kids so they don't care!

I don't know if you are into it or not, but for Halloween, someone glued/taped/?? mini cereal boxes to their outfit, stabbed the boxes with plastic knife, decorated the boxes with fake blood, and went out as a "serial killer". I don't know if regular-sized cereal boxes would work though.

I'm interested in finding more ideas too.. We eat lots of cereal.  I used some to make cones to hang from the pews at a wedding.  I covered the cardboard with scrapbooking paper to coordinate with the wedding colors, added a ribbon, and filled with artificial flowers.

it was a good weight of cardboard to still bend around, but gave it some support.

how about cutting them apart and using them for postcards?  i do this with a lot of boxes.  You can get some fun images for the "picture" side of the postcard right off the cereal box, so you wouldnt even need to decorate them unless you just wanted to.

You could also cut them up and make gift cards for birthdays and Christmas.

This day and age we no longer wear our hearts on our sleeves, we wear them on our webpage.

We do this. Cut them diagonally and then the kids paste paper all over the outside to decorate them. Then we have books and crafts organized in them on shelves in the kids room.  They're great, and when one gets too beat up we just toss it and make a new one!

when I was a kid, we'd take cereal boxes and cut off some sides to connect them and make a barbie home. We'd cut out a door in the front, windows...  Cheesy

I saw in a magazine that someone takes post cards and folds them in half, cuts a half moon shape out of the top of one have, sews them together and uses them for little wallets, or gift card holders... thought this would be a good idea for cereal boxes too... depending on what your eating!  :-)  or you could even redecorate them afterwards!
