Way cool! What a creative idea!

Just a question: Is the tea strainer permanently attached, or can you take it off and use it? (I can never find my tea strainer when I'm looking for it  Roll Eyes)

This is so cool! What did you make the wings out of? I know 40W isn't a very hot bulb, but I'd be worried about melting wings  Huh

Don't worry. First of all it is only 40 W. Not very hot indeed. And the wings are pointing away from the light bulb.

The wings are made from transparent photocopy foil. I printed a fly wing (googled the image) on normal paper and traced the "branches" with permanent marker on the transparencies. I cut them out roughly and folded the wings in the middle, so they would "stand".

You can take it off, indeed.

Wow, that's awesome. I especially like the eyes and nose. The fact that it glows in the dark is like adding a cherry on top!
